This is an unofficial homebrew magic item. It is up to the DM if they wish to allow the item to be used in a campaign.
The Helm of Baphomet is a powerful magical item that can only be obtained by killing Baphomet (in the Abyss) and harvesting his horns. The process to create the helm involves the forging of a magical helm to hold and harness the horn's power. The helm looks like a bull's head made of blue-steel, with two large horns protruding from the sides.
While wearing the helm, you have the following abilities:
- You have darkvision out to a range of 60 feet. If you already have darkvision. wearing the goggles increases its range by 60 feet.
- You have advantage on Intelligence (Investigation) checks while attempting to navigation through a maze or complex dungeon (DM discretion).
- Gore. You can use your horned helm to make an unarmed strike at a target within 5 feet. If you hit with them, you deal pericing damage equal to 1d8 + your Strength modifier.
- Charge. If you move at least 10 feet straight toward a target and then hit it with a melee attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 9 (2d8) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be pushed up to 10 feet away and knocked prone.
Note: The Helm of Baphomet is a powerful magic item, that should only be given to powerful characters. As such, this helm should only be awarded to a high level party that has defeated the powerful demon lord Baphomet.
